“Rideau Reflections”

Once, long ago, this canal was carved from rock and sweat and vision, a lifeline, a passage, a promise.

Now, in its currents, history and modernity drift side by side. The boat moored against the wall is more than just a vessel;

it is a witness, resting against the echo of centuries. As the city hums above, the Rideau cradles its own language below: textures like veins of the earth, patterns born of patience, light and shadow playing their eternal duet.

This painting is not just a view,  it is a memory of water and a reflection of time.

This painting is part of the IN-BETWEEN exhibition at the Shenkman Art Centre,
245 Centrum Blvd, Orléans, Ottawa, ON, Canada,
on view from January 26 to March 6, 2026.

If purchased before March 6, 2026, the artwork must remain on display until the exhibition closes, in accordance with City of Ottawa exhibition guidelines. The painting will be available for pickup on March 9, 2026, at the Shenkman Art Centre, or may be arranged for FREE delivery within the Ottawa Valley area (Ontario, Canada).
