Student’s work
List of materials that you will need:
Watercolour paper, cotton is preferable;
Watercolour brushes (flat large and medium, round large and small)
Watercolour palette with a large surface for mixing pigments,
Alternatively, you can use a white ceramic plate.
Palette knife, alternatively you can use a plastic card or craft knife;
Tape;
Board (the board which you will tape your watercolour paper to);
Two large jars for water;
Paper towels;
Sea sponge (optional);
Salt (optional);
Hair dryer (optional)
Watercolour paint, any quality:
Any deep yellow like Yellow Ochre
Any rusty colour like Burnt Sienna
Any dark vine colour like Magenta
Any light blue colour like Cerulean Blue
Any deep blue colour like Ultramarine
Any dark grey like Neutral Tint
White Gouache (optional)
And/or
Dr.Ph.Martin's Bleed Proof white

Watercolour paper Paul Rubens, cotton, 300 gm2
Watercolour brushes
- Round # 10-12 Paul Rubens and # 2 Escoda
- Flat synthetic brush 3/4 and 1 1/2 or larger Escoda
- Calligraphy brush, 5 mm
Palette knife and Kraft knife
Artistic tape
Watercolour board
Watercolour palette
Two large jars for water
Paper towels
Sea sponge
Salt
Hair dryer

Yellow Ochre, Daniel Smith
