Old Tree Story

Once, this tree was young and loud with leaves.
It spoke to the wind, argued with the rain, believed every spring would last forever.

Then time taught it another language.

Storms came — not to destroy, but to strip.
Winters arrived — not to punish, but to clarify.
Each year took something away, and in return gave depth, weight, and knowing.

Now the tree no longer reaches outward.
It stands inward.
Holding stories in its bark, silence in its roots, and light in the spaces where branches used to be.

This is not a tree at the end of its life.
This is a tree at the height of understanding.
