“Rideau Canal. Shadows on Winter Water” 

On a winter afternoon, the Rideau Canal lies between motion and stillness. The ice, etched with the memory of countless blades, glimmers beneath a fragile sun. Tall pines stand sentinel, their dark crowns brushing the pale sky. Along the path, small figures move with purpose—some laughing, some gliding, some simply watching. You can almost hear the echo of old wooden skates, the call of children from another century. Here, every shadow belongs not only to the day, but to all the winters before it.

245 Centrum Blvd, Orléans, Ottawa, ON, Canada,
on view from January 26 to March 6, 2026.

If purchased before March 6, 2026, the artwork must remain on display until the exhibition closes, in accordance with City of Ottawa exhibition guidelines. The painting will be available for pickup on March 9, 2026, at the Shenkman Art Centre, or may be arranged for FREE delivery within the Ottawa Valley area (Ontario, Canada).
