At the edge of Galette Village, the Mississippi River doesn’t just flow, it listens.

To the songs of vanished paddles, to winds braided through pine silhouettes, to the silent stories etched in sediment and stone.
This painting captures not the moment itself, but the memory of it,  the kind of memory water holds tight when no one’s watching. There’s no drama here, only the calm force of presence, of a land that waits and watches with you.

245 Centrum Blvd, Orléans, Ottawa, ON, Canada,
on view from January 26 to March 6, 2026.

If purchased before March 6, 2026, the artwork must remain on display until the exhibition closes, in accordance with City of Ottawa exhibition guidelines. The painting will be available for pickup on March 9, 2026, at the Shenkman Art Centre, or may be arranged for FREE delivery within the Ottawa Valley area (Ontario, Canada).
