FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

In this video tutorial you will learn how to paint this beautiful scene of a boy walking on the beach. This photo was taken on Whitewater Lake, Ontario, Canada near the greater Toronto Area.

The painting process will cover the Ala Prima techniques such as, infusion washes, lifting and “dry on damp” techniques.


This video tutorial suites to all ages and all skills levels. Although some previous experience in watercolour would be a benefit.

Watercolour paper BAOHONG watercolour paper, 100% cotton, cold press, 300 gm2

Watercolour brushes;
- Round # 10-12 Paul Rubens 

- Flat synthetic brush 3/4 and 1 1/2 or larger (Escoda, Grumbacher)

Calligraphy brush, 5 mm
