Session 1:

The first class – Wednesday October 8, 2025

The last class – Wednesday October 29, 2025

5 PM to 6:30 PM EST Ottawa time

The starting time might be adjusted +/-30 minutes depending on demand.

The course is 4 (four) in-person 90-minute classes at the studio in Pakenham, Ontario, Canada

Space is limited to 6 students.

The basic set of materials required for all projects for the course is included. If a student uses more materials, an invoice for extra materials use will be issued at the end of the course.

All tools, gloves and an apron are provided for use during the class.

The course takes place at the Ottawa Valley Art Studio, based in Ontario, Canada. Located a 5 minute drive from the Arnprior Canadian Tire or the Pakenham Public Library, 15 min from Burnstown, 25-30 min from Kanata (Ottawa), Renfrew or Calabogie.

The Studio is fully equipped. Space is limited to six students. A minimum of three students is required to run the course.

Learn to create like a Master!

The course includes constructive drawing,  painting and sculpture (modelling clay):

  • Study shapes and values of subjects
  • Develop a clear understanding where to find shadow, light and reflection in a composition
  • Learn how to follow the rules to create correct proportions
  • Learn about materials and different techniques
  • Learn how to create what you see using pencil, paint and modelling clay
