Between Arrivals
From the In-between series
The street was full only moments ago. Now it is quiet, wide, almost forgiving.
The city does not speak – it breathes. Walls lean inward, shadows stretch, and the pavement opens like a blank page. People move through without meeting, close enough to sense each other, too distant to belong.
In this place, time loosens its grip. There is no urgency, no clear direction – only the act of passing. Each step is both arrival and departure, each figure both present and already gone.
This is the downtown not as a map, but as a feeling: a shared solitude, a gentle anonymity, a moment where the self floats between where it has been and where it has yet to settle.
