Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral — Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, Baron Street, Ottawa
From the In-Between Series
Here, the cathedral rises like a half-remembered blessing, its domes dissolving into the pale hush of morning light. Nothing is fixed; everything is felt. Trees soften into silhouettes, façades blur into memory, and the street becomes a quiet threshold between the known and the dreamlike.
Granulated shadows drift across the pavement like echoes of footsteps long faded, while delicate washes of light pull the gaze upward toward the faint gleam of the crosses. The scene breathes with reverence – subtle, lingering, almost whispered.
This is not simply a street view, but a moment suspended between presence and remembrance, where the cathedral stands not only as architecture, but as a vessel of stillness, faith, and the fragile beauty of places that hold our inner silence.
