Dashing In The Rain

The rain erases the sharp edges of the city.

Streets become rivers of reflection, buildings drift into mist, and footsteps disappear almost as quickly as they are made.

You are hurrying forward, carrying nothing more than an umbrella and an unseen destination.

In the space between departure and arrival, the city becomes strangely gentle.

For a fleeting moment, it is impossible to tell whether you are finding your way home or quietly becoming it.
