Sometimes home is not a place you arrive at.
Sometimes it is a moment when the world grows still enough for you to hear yourselves again.
You stand between the sleeping field and the waiting forest. Behind them lie familiar footprints already softened by snow. Ahead, the trees keep their ancient secrets beneath white branches.
Nothing remarkable happens.
No dramatic light breaks through the clouds.
No destination appears.
Only the quiet certainty that there is no need to hurry.
The forest does not ask who you have been.
The snow does not remember your mistakes.
For a brief moment, standing on the edge of wilderness, you belong equally to both worlds, the one you have left behind and the one you have not yet entered.
Perhaps that is where peace has always been waiting.
